Soakage Testing

Soakage testing or percolation testing is required for developments that intend to use a soakaway. A soakaway collects surface runoff prior to being discharged into the surrounding soil.

The assessment determines the rate at which the ground absorbs a known volume of water and ensures the ground is suitable for the soak-away proposed.

A number of different permeability tests for measuring the rate of flow and determining whether a soak-away may work well for a development can be undertaken.
