Our expert team undertakes the full range of Transport Statements. A Transport Statement is a report which would conclude upon the impact of the development in terms of highways and transport. We subscribe to the TRICS database system and are able to use research and useful data to carefully analyse and conclude on the likely traffic movements that would be generated by a development.
The majority of impacts which are significant in terms of developments are car or vehicle movements, however we of course take into account all forms of ‘person trips’ from a development. ‘Person trips’ are journeys by all forms of transport (walking/cycling/public transport and vehicles).
Transport statements are usually used for minor or small major developments and take into account the impact upon the highway network and public transport facilities. Unlike Transport Assessments, Transport Statements do not include modelling of the impact upon specific junctions.
We provide highways and transport advise and can inform you whether a Transport Statement or Transport Assessment would be require for the development. We recommend that we are consulted at the earliest stage of the proposal, usually before planning permission is submitted.
