A Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) is a method statement or a project design to cover the archaeological works required for a site.
A WSI details how the archaeologists and work undertaken will fulfil the requirements. Usually the WSI would be agreed between us and the Council, so that both sides are in agreement with what reasonable work should be undertaken.
Written Schemes of Investigation prepared by Parker Planning Services will be reasonable for the development proposed and comply with the Code of conduct and other relevant regulations of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists
