Job Vacancy: Graduate Planner

Based: Norwich – Head Office – 13-15 Cathedral Street, Norwich, NR1 1LU – Working From Home Fridays.

A career in planning may be of interest if you have studied social science subjects such as Planning, Geography, Land Management, Urban/Regional Economics or subjects such as Architecture and Urban Design.

Candidate Specification

Relevant Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

You will need to have completed your degree or be completing it soon in one of the following degree disciplines:

  • Town and Country Planning
  • Urban Planning
  • Land Economy
  • Geography
  • Land Management

In your application you should be able to demonstrate your interest through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.

The Company:

Our head office is based in Norwich, covering projects in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Essex, Lincolnshire and occasional projects further afield. Our team is led and supported by the Principal Planning Manager with the support of the Managing Director, who oversees all company operations in East Anglia. We also have inhouse Heritage and Archaeological Consultants and support staff in Administration, Marketing and Finance. We are dedicated to providing the complete solution to our clients’ planning application needs, by managing a range of planning applications, planning appeals and related projects to ultimately help our clients get planning permission and have a highly successful record, working across multiple sectors such as housing and commercial, agricultural and rural, renewable energy, leisure and tourism, education and health, charity and community, council and local government, minerals and waste.
