Mercy Nightclub Conversion & Development – Parker Planning Services

Discuss your requirements with us

We’ve recently worked in collaboration to contribute to successful planning applications on complex heritage and rejuvenation projects.  Notable recent successes include the former Mercy Nightclub in Norwich on Prince of Wales Road. Here we submitted planning statements and provided consultancy that contributed to securing planning permission for the conversion to a mixed development of commercial, office and residential apartments facilities.

The project designed and led by SMG Architects will create a building of stature and architectural prominence, whilst maximising the use of sustainable design and construction methods.  Careful consideration of the buildings heritage assets at the planning stages ensured the designs respect the character of the building and its surrounding conservation area and any heritage impacts were minimised as far as possible.

The approved project will deliver benefits to the local business and community, including improving the vibrancy of this area of the city centre and local job creation, whilst reviving a prominent building and heritage asset.  It’s proximity to the train station and local bus services ensure the development also links with sustainable transport options.
