Paragraph 79 Approval for ‘The Hide’

Discuss your requirements with us

The Hide, a single storey eco-dwelling with associated wildlife pond and landscaping was approved by Breckland Council Planning Committee on Tuesday 06th July. Parker Planning Services (PPS) supported the planning submission with our Suffolk planning consultants providing planning oversight throughout.

PPS supported the appointed architect, Maude + Edwards,  in delivering a scheme with landscaping and biodiversity enhancement at the core of the proposal. The scheme is inspired by wetland habitat created by the applicant elsewhere on their land holding. As well as on-site renewable generation and the net zero nature of the proposal, the scheme provided a stunning 117% biodiversity net gain.

The application was approved by Committee based on the exceptional quality of the landscape and wildlife-led design and the resulting enhancement to the immediate setting of the application site in accordance with paragraph 79(e) of the NPPF.

The client offered the following testimonial; You’ve been such a fantastic team, we felt so well supported by you all and know that the application was meticulously prepared’
