Principal Heritage Consultant
Franziska Callaghan is a historic buildings specialist with expertise in listed and historic buildings, relevant planning legislation, building conservation and materials, architectural history and its interpretation. She has extensive experience of working in the private sector as well as the public sector across several authorities in Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, at city, district and county level.
She has also worked with Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust as Lead Project Officer for the Hopton Ruined Church Project and regularly works on projects with the Norwich Preservation Trust. As an architectural and fine art conservator she has worked on many interesting and beautiful buildings and artefacts, both in the UK and Germany. Franziska has a strong interest in finding contemporary design solutions in the historic context.
She is a full member of the Institute of Historic Buildings Conservation (IHBC) and holds an MA in Architectural and Art History from the University of Heidelberg, an MSc in Architectural Building Materials Conservation from the University of Bournemouth and a Diploma in Interior Design.
Outside of Parker Planning Services:
Franziska is also a fully qualitied Pilates Instructor, so in her spare time she enjoys a good matwork session. She also enjoys gardening, creative crafts and interior design, exploring places and architecture.
