Jemima was elected as a corporate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in July 2012. With more than 15 years’ planning experience, she has worked in both the public and private sectors, leading on a wide range of schemes including major planning applications, proposals for renewable energy, tourism and leisure development and major residential schemes, as well as retail and mixed-use and care-home developments.
Having qualified as a town planner, Jemima has an MA in Planning Policy and Practice. Progressing from a background in landscape design, she began her planning career in Suffolk and Essex before moving to Norfolk in 2012. Her planning experience has centred on East Anglia, and includes a variety of projects relating to planning applications and the development plan system. She is well practised in appeal work, including hearings and public inquiries, and has worked as an expert witness.
Her experience includes the preparation and submission of planning and enforcement appeals including both written representation and hearing procedure. Working in the private sector Jemima brings experience and knowledge to assessing sites and carrying out appraisals to identify the development potential of land and working with landowners and developers to promote sites as part of the ongoing development plan process.
Life outside Parker Planning Services
Jemima loves the outdoors and enjoys simple pleasures such as gardening and growing vegetables as well as more active pastimes such as cycling and walking. She also enjoys travelling more locally in Europe as well as countries further afield where she has experienced the underwater world scuba diving.
