Highways Assessments & Design. Junction Assessments

Highways Assessments.   On larger developments it is likely you’ll need a Highways Assessment completed.  This considers the impact the proposed development would have on the surrounding transportation network including:-  road traffic, the potential for sustainable public transport, and the accessibility of walking and cycling routes. These are key factors in determining the suitability of a site.

Junction Assessments.   Usually these are conducted for Major Developments – this work can be done as part of a Highways Assessment. These assess the impact upon junctions and recommend potential improvements. We’re here to manage the whole process on your behalf and meet all the legislative requirements.  Our clients recommend our services.

We would model the impacts of a development against various junctions, usually we’d agree with the Council which junctions need to be assessed and considered.

Highways Design.  We’ve helped clients on a huge scope of highways works projects: including horizontal and vertical layouts to appropriate design standards, road pavement design, signage and road marking design, drainage and detailing.  This work covered a range of major and minor developments.

The size of projects vary from smaller projects include swept path analysis through to larger highways schemes that give recommendations then produce outline and detailed designs.
