Lowestoft, Kirkley Waterfront – Planning Policy Consultation

Discuss your requirements with us

08.03.2024

East Suffolk Council is conducting a consultation regarding the content of the Council’s Planning Position Statement for the Lowestoft Kirkley Waterfront development.

Kirkley Waterfront and Sustainable Urban Neighbourhood, situated centrally in Lowestoft, is a large site designated for mixed-use development as per Policy WLP2.4 in the Waveney Local Plan. This encompasses plans for approximately 1,380 new dwellings, a retirement community, primary school, pre-school, playing field, local retail centre, marina facilities, and employment development. While parts of the site have been developed, a considerable portion remains vacant or underutilised.

The Planning Position Statement aims to facilitate development on the site by informing landowners, developers, and key partners of the Council’s stance on crucial matters. Once established, it will serve as a guiding document for planning application decisions in the area.

As a significant project in East Suffolk, your input in this consultation is invaluable. Our team is available to support and strengthen your comments, ensuring they have a meaningful impact on the future of your community. Get in touch at contact@parkerplanningservices.co.uk or call us on 01603 516319 to discuss this more.

Consultation ends 5pm, Wednesday 3rd April 2024.
